Introduction
An element is a substance that is made entirely from one type of atom, and there are currently 118 different elements. Some include gold, silver, copper and carbon, which have been known for thousands of years. All known elements are arranged on a chart called the Periodic Table of Elements, which is used by many students and teachers all over the world. It helps give information to individuals such as atomic number, number of protons and neutrons. The periodic table provides very important and essential information to students, which are needed when enrolled in a chemistry course.
