Introduction
Air pollution can result from both human and natural actions. Forest fires, volcanic eruptions, wind erosion, pollen dispersal are all great examples of natural actions. Emissions from industries and manufacturing activities and burning of fossil fuels from vehicles are human activities that cause air pollution. |
Article SummaryThis article goes into detail on Global warming and how it has big impacts such as record high temperatures, rising seas, and floods. It talks about how cars emit over 24 pounds of carbon dioxide. Cars, trucks, planes, trains, ships, and freight produces nearly thirty percent of all global warming emissions.

Course ConnectionIn the unit, we talked about thermal energy which is is the amount of kinetic energy associated with of molecules. We also talked about temperature, which is the measure of the average kinetic energy of molecules. Some of the effects of global warming include

Personal reflectionI feel like individuals can have the power to help with reducing global warming emission. People tend to depend on their vehicles for every trip they make, and forget about walking. Walking does not only save you money on gas, but it is also more healthy to walk then to simply drive a vehicle. Something as simple as walking can help reduce global warming emission, which is something that should motivate people.

RISKS
- Poor Air Quality
- Extreme heat
- Spreading diseases
- Natural disasters
- Heavier precipitation and floods
- More severe droughts
Question- What is global warming? What are the risks? Solutions? And why should individuals take action?
