Introduction
Around 76 million people a year, get sick and require the help of a doctor or physician. Depending on how bad the situation is, the doctor will suggest medicine for the patient to take to help with the pain. However, the doctor never says take as much as you want. There is a specific amount an individual has to take based on how bad their illness is and how their body reacts to the given medicine. Doctors need to know exactly how much the patient should consume. If the patient is asked to take more than their body can handle, then this might cause other problems with the patients health, which could be blamed on the doctor for suggesting the wrong intake. This is why it is very important that doctors get the exact amount. |
Article SummaryThis article goes into detail on how many individuals are getting prescribed the wrong medications. It focuses on how important it is that patients get the right medicine with the right dosage. It also focuses on solutions and ways doctors can prevent these errors from occurring.

Course ConnectionI can relate this to this course because we were required to get the right amount of moles(n) and mass(g) while doing our calculations with the right significant figures. This is the same thing with doctors, they need prescribe the exact amount of medicine to patients or there body might react differently to it.

Personal ReflectionI found this very interesting because many students did not pay much attention to significant figures while solving different problems and this article helps to show that being specific and accurate can be very important when it comes to medicine and helping your patients.
